THE late Mollie Mansfield was a member of Bonar Bridge /Ardgay Golf Club and Royal Dornoch for many years and was captain and lady captain at Bonar and lady captain at Dornoch.

At Bonar she helped establish open competitions and encouraged new members to take up golf so building up a good ladies section and it is fitting that we play for the Mollie Mansfield Memorial Trophy in an open competition at Bonar. Mollie was well known in wider golfing circles so members from Bonar and Royal Dornoch were joined by players from many other clubs in Caithness, Sutherland and Ross-shire too.
