KYLE Turner believes Ross County are capable of causing an upset against champions Celtic when the two teams clash at Dingwall tomorrow afternoon.

The Staggies are unbeaten in their last three matches in the Premiership earning draws away to Dundee, Motherwell and Hibernian.

However, they have failed to win in their last seven games in all competitions, having not won since winning at Kilmarnock on September 2.

But Ross County should have seen out victory against Motherwell last weekend, when they were 3-1 up after 88 minutes, but drew 3-3.

On Tuesday night at Hibernian, despite being 2-0 down, Ross County did pull it back to 2-2 and had chances to win in the closing stages.

Turner says Ross County are desperate to pick up a win.

He says performances in recent games gives them confidence that it could happen against Celtic tomorrow afternoon at the Global Energy Stadium.

“We know what to expect against Celtic and they are starting to fire as well,” he said.

“We played well against them in the first game of the season and they maybe had a bit of rustiness with a new manager in place.

“It will be a tougher test than what we faced on the first day of the season, but the boys will be ready for it.”

Speaking about draws in their last three matches, he said: “Against Dundee there was a wee bit of rustiness as we hadn’t played in two weeks.

“Last Saturday against Motherwell we were disappointed that we didn’t take all three points, as we were 3-1 up with a few minutes to go.

“Against Hibernian, we showed great character to come back from 2-0 down and get another point.

“To get three draws from three games where there was a lot of travelling, it is something that we will take.”

At Hibernian, Ross County found themselves 2-0 down after 50 minutes.

Elie Jouan opened the scoring with Jair Tavares doubling their advantage.

The Staggies were offered a lifeline when Hibs defender Allan Delferriere turned a Yan Dhanda cross into his own net and then Jordan White scored seven minutes from time to level the game.

Ross County moved into 10th place in the Premiership and out of the relegation zone, which Turner says is a big boost to morale at the club.

“The league is so tight, there are only three points between 11th and fifth.

“Everyone can beat everyone, it is a mad league and apart from the top two, everyone is fighting for every spot.”
