Alness athlete Abbie McNally has been rewarded for a season of outstanding success with a funding award from Rotary of Inverness.

The Inverness Harrier, who had a double gold medal success at the 2018 School Games national finals, has been given a £750 contribution towards training and travel expenses.

McNally’s dedication in pursuing her dream of earning a place in Great Britain squads next year, as well as her long-held goal of becoming a Paralympian, struck a chord with Rotary.

Dick Beach, a spokesman for Rotary of Inverness, said: "We’ve been very impressed by Abbie’s commitment and hard work in pursuing her sporting ambitions."
