Ross County striker Billy Mckay wants to see rival forward Brian Graham keep scoring goals, even if it costs him his place in the team.

The Northern Irish international has featured in the vast majority of Staggies matches this season, but had not scored in nine matches going into last night’s clash against Rangers.

Graham meanwhile scored after coming off the bench at both Motherwell and Hibernian, with the target man’s introduction at Easter Road changing the game.

Rather than fear for his starting spot though, Mckay wants to see Graham keep making an impact.

“We needed him last Saturday to come on and score,” Mckay admitted.

“Obviously Brian is similar to me, he’s one of the older ones, more experienced, and he wants to play.

“Where a lot of players could have sulked if they weren’t playing, he has come off the bench and made a real positive impact. It’s great for him, and hopefully he can get more goals.”
