Ryan McFee scores hat trick as Alness United thump league leaders Nairn County in North Caledonian League Division Two

ALNESS United kept their North Caledonian League Division Two title hopes in their own hands as they thumped league leaders Nairn County A at Dalmore Park.

Ryan McFee was the hat trick hero as he scored three goals, his first eight minutes after Callum Gow gave Alness the lead midway through the first half.

McFee scored twice in the second half inbetween Gordon Finlayson's strike which made it 4–0.

Ciaran Young pulled one back with five minutes remaining but Euan Henderson scored in injury time to restore the five goal margin.

Alness are five points behind league leaders Nairn County with three games in hand.
