Mann brings up lack of Ross Sutherland fixtures to Scottish Rugby Union

Ross Sutherland head coach John Mann has brought the club’s lack of fixtures up to SRU officials.

Mann spoke of his confusion over why there were planned breaks in the Caledonia North Two schedule earlier in the season, and has in the past advocated for a move to summer rugby.

The Stags sit at the bottom of the league table over the festive period, but have played two games less than some of their league rivals.

For Mann, the situation has to change in the future, and he has made his feelings known to the powers that be.

“I had a meeting with one of the regional managers last week,” he said.

“I said to his face that we’ve played five games of rugby between August and December.

“A number of those things are unforeseen circumstances, but it’s still not really good enough.”
