Mike MacDonald comes out on top to win Fortrose and Rosemarkie Gents Open

Mike MacDonald came out on top at the Fortrose and Rosemarkie Gents 18-Hole Championship.

Winning on his home course, MacDonald took victory by two shots as he fired in a 71.

Allan Cameron of Royal Dornoch Golf Club was second thanks to a better inward half after shooting a 73 along with Chris Gaittens on Fortrose and Rosemarkie who took third place.

Bobby Wallace of Pitreavie finished in fourth place, also thanks to a better inward half with Thomas Nicolson who also fired in a 74.

Johnston Bellshaw won the handicap section one title with a nett 68. Brian Clough of St Andrew won handicap section two title with a nett 70.
