MacRae aims for more after cup final brace

Kinlochshiel’s sharp shooter John MacRae has spoken of his delight after his two goals fired them to Macaulay Cup success against Kyles Athletic last weekend.

MacRae’s double followed Duncan Matheson’s opener to gave his side a commanding lead at half time, before Kyles fired back with two goals of their own in the second period to set up a tense finish.

However Kinlochshiel held on to lift the Macaulay Cup for the second time in the last three years.

MacRae said the cup win was special for a variety of reasons, not least because it came after a poor run for the team and for himself in finals.
