Hong Kong title was biggest of Lobban's career so far

Greg Lobban says he is determined to break into the top-20 in the world rankings after winning the biggest title of his career so far.

The North Kessock athlete won the HKFC PSA International Open in Hong Kong when he didn’t drop a game.

Currently ranked 30th in the world, Lobban (27) is now looking to use his victory in Asia as a springboard to break into the top-20 by the end of the season.

“I hope the win will give me a good platform to build up to over the whole season which has just started,” he said.

“I am looking to get into the top-20 by the end of the season.

“I have been in the top 30 of the world rankings for about three years since I came back from injury.

“But I have set myself a target of the top-20 and if I get in there I will look to move my way up the rankings.”
