Full time | Ross County 1–3 St Mirren (White; Erwin, Durmus, McGrath)

90' McGrath scores from the spot

That is surely game, set and the match for St Mirren after Jamie McGrath scores from the penalty spot.

Leo Hjelde is deemed to have handballed, and McGrath has no problem finding the net from 12 yards.

85' McAllister hits the woodwork for St Mirren after taking advantage of the spaces County are leaving in their attempt to find an equaliser.

71' Durmus gives the visitors the advantage

St Mirren have the lead from a counter attack, with Collin Quaner outmuscling Keith Watson to get control of the ball in County's half.

He appeared to be devoid of support, but was patient and eventually managed to cut the ball back for Ilaay Durmus to send St Mirren ahead.

60' Laidlaw has to make a good reaction save with his feet to deny McCarthy from close range!

50' Erwin equalises for the visitors

Lee Erwin started the season as a Ross County player, but he has just scored a goal that would send the Staggies into the relegation play-off zone as things stand.

County will be frustrated at how simple it was for him. Richard Tait sent a cross into the middle and the big attacker got between the centre backs to head past Laidlaw.

We are back under way for the second half!

Half time thoughts

County will be pleased to have the advantage at the interval, and with their recent record after scoring they will be delighted to have held on to the lead since scoring.

Neither side looked massively threatening before the opener, but St Mirren probably had the balance of play – only for that to change when Jordan White found the net.

Since then it has been the Staggies who have looked the brighter side, and with results elsewhere tonight the way they are, it could be a crucial three points if County make it through the second half.

Half time: Ross County 1–0 St Mirren

45' Tillson, who is playing in a more advanced role than he often has for the Staggies, forces an excellent save out of Alnwick with a curling effort that looked destined for the top corner.

41' Naismith shoots on the turn as County go on the counter, but the ball goes just wide of the mark.

38' Laidlaw has to scamper to his right to make a save from Dennis' header.

31' Mckay should have doubled County's lead, but he somehow misses Naismith's cross altogether.

28' Gardyne picks up a loose ball, turns his man and gets a shot in at goal, but Alnwick has it well covered.

18' White puts County ahead

After a quiet opening spell from both teams, Ross County have the lead.

A free kick was taken short and quickly to Billy Mckay on the right side of the box, where the ball was sent low into the middle.

It was only half-cleared by the St Mirren defence, allowing Jordan Tillson to pick out Jordan White with a header, and the forward finished the job by picking out the top corner.

We have kick off!

30 minutes to kick off

John Hughes has made one change to his side from the draw at Kilmarnock, as Carl Tremarco has not recovered from the knock that saw him miss a couple of days of training.

It is a straight swap at the back though, with Leo Hjelde coming into the starting 11 in the veteran's place.
