Full time thoughts

There was some good play from the Staggies over the course of the match, but they came under a lot more pressure in the second half.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas looked like a handful to deal with, and Stuart Kettlewell bringing on Jordan Tillson with five minutes left of normal time instead of a more attacking option with the scores level probably said it all.

It was a result that I don't think either camp can complain about on the balance of play, but both teams also had chances to win.

Regan Charles-Cook looked decent in his cameo without showing that final end product, but I wonder if he's the type of player that will thrive in front of fans, because he's the kind of player that will excited supporters up close and in person.

Full time: Ross County 1–1 Livingston.

Four minutes of added time

89' Kelly booked for sliding in.

84' Tillson replaces Lakin in the middle of the park for the hosts.

83' Stewart feeds in Charles-Cook, who cuts inside and shoots, but Stryjek holds on to it well.

82' Chaos in the County defence as Emmanuel-Thomas goes around Doohan, but is too wide to shoot.

Grivosti and Donaldson each had the ball at one point, but it ends up in a Livi corner, which comes to nothing.

79' Ambrose comes on for Livi, replacing Brown who looked to be suffering from a bit of cramp.

76' Change for Livingston as Sibbald comes off for Poplatnik.

69' First booking of the evening goes to Marvin Bartley after he felled Harry Paton.

67' Shaw goes close with a header, connecting with Reid's early cross.

He had plenty of time, so he will be disappointed not to hit the back of the net from there.

64' Sibbald tries to curl one into the top corner, but his effort does not trouble Doohan at all.

59' There is a big shout for a penalty involving Charles-Cook straight away as the County man goes to ground, but the referee says no.

58' First change of the evening as Gardyne is replaced by Charles-Cook, with Ross Stewart taking over the captain's armband.

55' Devlin draws Livingston level

It had been quite good work from Donaldson, who had moved out to the right to deal with the ball, but that proved to be County's undoing.

Just as he was about to swap back with Grivosti, Pittman made a run down Livi's left wing and got the ball in space, giving him the chance to send a dangerous cross across the face of goal.

Nicky Devlin was the man to turn the ball in, sliding in and connecting with the post for his troubles, but the Lions will not care as they are back in this game.

51' Pittman finds time in a good area to have a shot at goal after bringing Iacovitti's attempted clearance under control, but his effort is dragged wide.

The second half is under way!

Half time thoughts

I don't think either sides will have too many complaints about that scoreline at the interval.

Livingston have had moments of pressure, but Doohan has not had a single save to make in the first half – the only real heart-in-mouth moment came from Emmanuel-Thomas's chance.

The Staggies meanwhile have been playing some nice stuff as they nearly always do, but without really breaking through the opposition defence.

It took a set-piece to make the breakthrough, with Shaw putting the hosts ahead, and they looked assured with a lead to defend, something they haven't had the luxury of in the Premiership since their last win against St Johnstone in September.

Half time: Ross County 1–0 Livingston

One minute of added time at the end of this first half

31' Good work from Shaw wins the ball back in the opposition penalty area.

He turns and picks out Stewart, but the header under pressure is off target.

28' Shaw puts County ahead

Nicky Devlin took down Michael Gardyne, leaving the Staggies captain needing treatment, but County went ahead from the set piece.

Stephen Kelly took it, keeping it in the air but sending it low into the box, and Oli Shaw stooped to get his head on the ball and divert it into the corner.

After such a long wait for his first County goal, it's two in two weeks for the former Hibernian forward.

22' Easy save for Doohan from Forrest's shot, which was along the ground straight at him.

It came after a nice piece of build-up play for County, which came to an unfortunate end when Grivosti skewed his cross from the right behind for a goal kick.

19' Solid piece of defending from Donaldson there to herd Forrest away from goal when he's rushing towards goal, and then again to steer Emmanuel-Thomas away from the danger area.

16' What a chance!

Livingston really should be ahead after that chance for Emmanuel-Thomas.

County's defenders rush towards a throw in to try and deal with it, but it goes over all of their heads and falls to Livi's number nine.

He has plenty of time to turn and shoot, but he blazes the ball off target.

10 minutes in and there is not too much to write home about so far.

County are mostly trying to create something down the left wing, but so far they have just been getting crowded out before they can get into the opposition's box.

We have kick off here in Dingwall!

The teams are emerging...

Michael Gardyne is the man wearing Ross County's captain's armband tonight in place of Iain Vigurs and Callum Morris.

30 minutes to kick off

As applause welcomes Ross County's players out to the pitch to warm up, let's have a look at the teams.

Stuart Kettlewell has made a few changes to his side, most notably as captain Iain Vigurs drops to the bench.

Regan Charles-Cook and Billy Mckay are also named as substitutes, while Connor Randall misses out altogether through injury.

Tom Grivosti, Michael Gardyne, Harry Paton and Oli Shaw all come into the starting 11 in their places.

Gary Holt meanwhile makes three changes, with Alan Forrest, Scott Robinson and Steve Lawson replacing Josh Mullin, Jason Holt and Julien Serrano, who drops out of the squad completely.

Ross County: Doohan, Gardyne, Shaw, Grivosti, Iacovitti, Kelly, Lakin, Paton, Donaldson, Stewart, Reid.

Substitutes: Laidlaw, Tremarco, Mckay, O'Connor, Vigurs, Hylton, Charles-Cook, Tillson, Williamson.

Livingston: Srtyjek, Devlin, Brown, Bartley, Pittman, Emmanuel-Thomas, Sibbald, Forrest, Robinson, Guthrie, Lawson.

Substitutes: McCrorie, Fitzwater, Mullin, Poplatnik, Holt, McMillan, Tiffoney, Ambrose, Taylor-Sinclair.
