Full time | Ross County 2–1 Hamilton (Spittal, Lakin; McMann)

Full time: Ross County 2–1 Hamilton

Four minutes of added time

87' Hamilton have really raised the tempo of the game, but they have not been able to test Laidlaw.

71' Lakin fires County ahead

What a finish that is by Charlie Lakin!

He has only been on the pitch for a few minutes, and playing at left back this was his first foray into the final third, but he has expertly stroked the ball into the bottom corner from the corner of the box.

66' Hjelde goes down and County are forced into their second change of the evening, as Charlie Lakin comes on in his place.

61' Spittal's cross into the middle is only half-cleared away, allowing Kelly to shoot – but he cannot keep his half volley down.

59' Callachan takes advantage of a missed interception from Spittal to drive forward down the left.

He plays a one-two to get into the box, eventually missing the target with a header.

55' Spittal intercepts a pass across the Hamilton defence and switches it to Gardyne, who has to stretch to connect with the ball and shoots wide.

52' Iacovitti has gone down once again and his evening is over. He will be replaced by Keith Watson, and the change can be made as McMann heads over for Hamilton.

The second half is under way!

Half time thoughts

It's not unusual to see a goal immediately followed by another in Ross County games this season, but it's not too often it has been the Staggies who have bounced back immediately.

That showed good mental strength from the hosts, and it might well be a war of attrition in the second half by the looks of it.

Other than that five minute spell where both goals went in and Callachan hit the post, neither goalkeeper has had all that much to do.

So County should be encouraged – this game is there for the taking if they can up their game slightly to take control of it.

Half time: Ross County 1–1 Hamilton

30' Callachan charges forward with the ball and lets fly from range, only to see the ball crash back off the outside of the post.

27' Spittal equalises for County

What a response from the Staggies!

Jordan White did well to hold the ball up under pressure inside the Hamilton box, before laying it off.

It looked like Stephen Kelly might hit it, but he left it to Spittal to have a go, and the midfielder swept home with his left foot.

25' McMann gives Hamilton the lead

It is a disaster for the Staggies, who have fallen behind direct from a free kick.

Some Hamilton players thought it should actually have been a penalty, but Scott McMann still found the net after slotting the ball under the wall and into the net.

17' Break in play now as Iacovitti needs treatment.

3' Early bookings for each side as Aaron Martin and Stephen Kelly are both shown yellow cards.

We have kick off in Dingwall!

30 minutes to kick off

John Hughes has named an unchanged side from the one that won 2–0 away at Dundee United last time out.

There is still no place in the squad for defenders Connor Randall and Carl Tremarco, who have been back in training after injuries but have not been deemed ready for first team involvement.
