Full time: Dundee United 2–1 Ross County

90' Four minutes of added time at Tannadice.

86' Stewart follows his teammate into the book, this time for sliding in on Robson.

One final change for United, and Clark will not get the chance to claim a hat trick as he is replaced by Louis Appere.

84' Oli Shaw booked for a tug on an orange shirt.

82' County pull one back

Suddenly space opened up for the Staggies, and Lakin played a perfectly weighted through ball for Oli Shaw.

One-on-one with the keeper, the County substitute made no mistake as he slotted past Siegrist to reduce the deficit to a single goal. Can County grab a dramatic equaliser now?

77' And another change, this time for United, as Harkes comes off for Fuchs.

75' Oli Shaw comes on for the Staggies in place of Mckay.

71' Change for United, Pawlett coming off and Sporle replacing him.

68' Stewart with a rare shot at goal for the visitors this afternoon, playing a one-two with Lakin and then trying to curl one into the far corner, but badly missing the target.

65' Double substitution for Ross County, as Vigurs and Charles-Cook are replaced by Paton and Gardyne.

57' Donaldson booked for an accumulation of fouls.

51' United double their advantage

It is 2–0 to the hosts, and a set-piece has undone the Staggies.

Pawlett chipped his free kick into the box where Reynolds headed it towards goal, but although that was blocked he reacted first to sweep it back on target.

Clark was thereabouts and is claiming he got a touch, there were a few bodies in the mix but either way United have gone 2–0 up.

The second half is under way!

Half time thoughts

It's all just too predictable from County.

They only seem to have two modes of attack – pass it out wide from the back, or lump it forward hoping that someone can bring the ball under control.

I'd like to see them try and play through the lines in the middle of the park more often, if only because when it goes wide it leaves them open to counter attacks with Josh Reid and Tom Grivosti pushing forward.

As for the goal, there can be no complaints about it – you wouldn't expect the captain to be guilty of bad communication, but that was the problem in this case.

If Clark's strike ends up being the difference between the sides this afternoon, Stuart Kettlewell will be furious that another individual error has cost them points.

Half time: Dundee United 1–0 Ross County

40' Reynolds is given the all clear to return to the pitch

39' Another break in play here as Reynolds gets checked over after a head knock.

He cleared away a Vigurs corner with a thumping header, but was wiped out in the process by his own goalkeeper.

35' County have been trying to string some passes together to get back into this game, but they are not finding the target often enough.

The windy conditions are making things difficult for both teams, but nobody at County will use that as an excuse.

25' A wonderful flowing move from United that sees Shankland, Harkes and Pawlett linking up with one-touch football ends in Pawlett sending the ball just the wrong side of the post! Great chance for United to double their lead.

19 United go ahead

Dundee United have the advantage from the penalty spot through Nicky Clark, but they have the Staggies to thank for the opportunity.

Lakin and Vigurs could not decide who was going to clear the ball away, so neither went for it and it bounced up to hit the County skipper's hand.

Not too many complaints from the visitors over that one, rightfully so, but it is an absolute gift for United.

17' Lakin is the next man to aim for goal, making up a good bit of ground to run on to a header, but it goes straight into Siegrist's hands.

15' United go close to breaking the deadlock as Pawlett tries to flick the ball past Doohan from Bolton's cross, but it is just the wrong side of the woodwork.

Injury for Randall

10' There's some concern for Connor Randall here, who is down and looks like he may have to come off.

There was no collision, it looked fairly innocuous, but the full back is replaced by Tom Grivosti. Looks like a straight swap with the Liverpudlian slotting in at right back.

8' Ross County win a free kick in a very dangerous position as Billy Mckay is pulled down 20 yards out, but Kelly's strike hits the feet of the wall.

7' A decent run forward from Pawlett threatens to hit County on the counter attack, but Doohan is out quickly to gather the ball in.

We have kick off at Tannadice!

40 minutes to kick off!

The Staggies will not have had the nicest of drives through to Tannadice, but the pitch looks in decent nick for the most part.

Manager Stuart Kettlewell makes three changes, with Tom Grivosti, Michael Gardyne and Harry Paton all dropping to the bench.

Connor Randall returns to the starting 11 in what looks like a back four, while Billy Mckay and Stephen Kelly are also in from the start.

The on-loan Rangers midfielder is making his first start for the Staggies, after already making seven appearances off the bench since moving to Dingwall in June.

Dundee United: Siegrist, Smith, Reynolds, Pawlett, Clark, Edwards, Robson, Butcher, Bolton, Harkes, Shankland.
