Late flurry not enough to save Ross County

Ross County very nearly managed to stage a memorable comeback away at Kilmarnock, but the scoreline ended up flattering them.
The lead was doubled immediately after half time, again from a cross from out wide, but this time down the left flank. Aaron Simpson found Kris Boyd, who doesn't miss chances like the one he was presented with here, and it was 2-0.
Boyd would later be subbed off for birthday boy Eamonn Brophy, who made it 3-0 within a minute of coming on with a powerful finish from a tight angle.
It looked like Kilmarnock thought the game was over, but County showed there was still life in them as Billy McKay pounced on a poor backpass and chipped the ball over Killie keeper Jamie MacDonald and into the net.
With time against them, Alex Schalk then found himself unmarked in the Kilmarnock penalty area, and put away Michael Gardyne's cross to give County a lifeline. But there wasn't enough time left in the game to secure a point, and the game ended 3-2 to Kilmarnock.
