Ross County were denied all three points as Livingston snatched a late equaliser in the Scottish Premiership clash.

David Cancola's thunderous strike from 35 yards out found the top right corner and looked like securing the Staggies all three points and move them out of the relegation zone.

But a lapse in concentration in the Ross County defence allowed Ayo Obileye to equalise with two minutes remaining

The game threatened to go into the interval with no points of note whatsoever in what was a lifeless encounter in the first half.

But on the stroke of half time, Dom Samuel's cross into the box was cleared by the Livingston defence.

It fell to Cancola who unleashed a thunderous drive which goalkeeper Max Stryjek couldn't stop finding the top right corner of the net.

Ross County could have doubled their advantage immediately after the break when Regan Charles-Cook broke free of the Livingston defence and fired from the edge of the box but his shot was straight at Stryjek.

Charles-Cook was proving problematic in the Livingston defence, and he used his pace again to fire a cross into the box which Jordan White was only inches away from nodding into the net.

Livingston came close to equalising on the hour mark when Jack Fitzwater beat the County defence in the air to Alan Forrest’s corner kick but couldn’t keep his header from flying over the bar.

But County took control of the game midway through the second half and Jordan White was only denied doubling their advantage by a last ditch tackle from Ayo Obileye who blocked his effort from eight yards out.

Ross County pressed to kill the game off with Blair Spittal unleashed a low curling drive which was held by Stryjek.

Ross Callachan almost scored an audacious goal from a tight angle which hit the crossbar.

But Livingston levelled with two minutes remaining when the County defence failed to deal with a cross into the box and Obileye nodded home from close range.

Livingston nearly won it at the death when Jason Holt's thunderous strike hit the crossbar.
