Konkel delighted with Quins London pro deal

JADE Konkel says she is looking forward to the challenge of playing in England after agreeing a deal to play for Harlequins in the English Premier 15s next season.

The 24-year-old from Munlochy has signed with the London club after playing in the French Top Eight with Lille Metropole last season.

The deal comes as Konkel was one of eight women to have been given a professional 2021 Contract from Scottish Rugby.

Now as she begins a new chapter in her rugby career, she believes the move will help her become a better player and help in Scotland’s aim of qualifying for the World Cup in three years time.
