Kinlochshiel must stay in front of Newtonmore says manager

KINLOCHSHIEL manager Johnston Gill says his team can’t afford to fall behind against Newtonmore when the top two teams in the country clash at Kirkton tomorrow in the Camanachd Cup quarter final.

The league champions are still reeling from their MacTavish Cup final defeat to their Badenoch rivals last month, who have now leapfrogged above them to the top of the Marine Harvest Premiership on goal difference.

But Gill is looking forward to tomorrow’s match to gain revenge but says it is vital they manage to stay in front of Newtonmore if they are to have a chance of making it to the semi finals where the winners face a home clash against Kilmallie.
