GOLSPIE Sutherland have been crowned North Caledonian League Division One champions as Invergordon saw their title hopes end in Caithness.
A 1–0 victory against Orkney in Holm along with Invergordon losing 3–1 at Thurso gave Golspie the title with a game to spare.
Liam Bremner scored the only goal of the game in the second half which was enough to give Golspie their 11th league title.
Invergordon did take the lead in Thurso through Jordan Knight after eight minutes.
But Thurso equalised instantly through James McLean.
Innes Mackintosh put Thurso in front after 29 minutes with Cameron Montgomery putting the Vikings 3-1 in front after 56 minutes.
Golspie Sutherland will be presented with the title at their final game of the season against Orkney on Saturday, June 26.
Invergordon will host Thurso in their final game of the season on the same day.
