Invergordon look to put bad start behind them in last eight

North Caledonian League champions Invergordon will be looking for their first win of the season when they take on Bonar Bridge at the Recreation Grounds in the Football Times Cup quarter final.

Invergordon have had a disastrous start to their campaign, having lost both of their matches in the league against Alness United and Loch Ness.

In addition, they suffered a 5–1 hammering to Newtongrange Star in their debut in the Scottish Cup last month when they were dumped out of the preliminary round.

Bonar Bridge are also looking for their first win of the season as they have lost their opening two matches in the North Caledonian League.

Tain outfit St Duthus travel to The Dammies to face Thurso as both teams will look to make the last four of the competition.

The Saints have had a stunning start to the season with a 100 per cent record in all competitions.

Loch Ness and Nairn County A will look to progress when the two teams meet at King George V Park in Fortrose tomorrow.

The two teams have had differing starts to the North Caledonian League campaign.

Loch Ness remained undefeated in the league with two wins and one defeat as they are in second place.

Nairn County A are in 10th place in the North Caledonian League with one victory and two defeats so far this season.

Clachnacuddin A have had a tough start in their return to the North Caledonian League, having lost both of their opening matches and are bottom of the table on goal difference.

They will look to advance to the semi finals of the Football Times Cup when they travel to face Golspie Sutherland at King George V Park.

One match takes place in the North Caledonian League as Fort William face Orkney at Claggan Park.

All matches last Saturday were cancelled as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II.

Last Wednesday’s matches were also due to be postponed after the Queen’s death.

But the North Caledonian Football Association changed their minds earlier this week after consultation with clubs to allow the matches to go ahead during midweek.
