Invergordon fight back to earn point against Loch Ness

Invergordon fought back from two goals down to salvage a point in an epic 4-4 draw against champions Loch Ness.

In an incredible encounter at Recreation Park, Invergordon put themselves in front through Bradi Hulme after eight minutes.

Loch Ness brought themselves level two minutes later with a strike from Allan Macphee, but Invergordon went in front again with a strike from Stuart Leslie.

But Loch Ness went into the break 3-2 ahead at half time as Jamie Fraser found the net twice.

Liam Taylor then found the net to make it 4-2 10 minutes into the second half.

But Invergordon stormed back with goals from Calum Murray and Calum Neil to make it 4-4 as both teams settled for a point.

In the Inverness derby, Inverness Athletic and Clachnacuddin A shared the points in a 1-1 draw at North Kessock.

Jamie Calder gave Clachnacuddin the lead after 14 minutes, but Aidan Hersee levelled for Inverness Athletic 10 minutes before half time.

Tain outfit St Duthus’ poor start to the league campaign continued as they were dealt a 5-0 hammering at Halkirk United at Morrison Park.

Former Wick Academy striker Jonah Martens scored a hat-trick in the first 29 minutes with Mark Munro grabbing the Anglers’ fourth just before half time.

Liam Bain got Halkirk’s fifth 12 minutes before full time for a comfortable victory.

Alness United also suffered defeat as they went down to a 1-0 defeat against Bonar Bridge in Migdale.

Bruce Urquhart scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot with 20 minutes remaining to move Bonar Bridge to third place in the league.

Orkney picked up their first win of the season as they hammered Thurso 6-0 in Kirkwall.

John Pickles and Daniel Hourston both scored twice with Ewan Stevenson and Sam Davidson also finding the net.
