Golspie Sutherland take on Invergordon in the Football Times Cup semi final.

INVERGORDON will be looking to reach the final of the Football Times Cup when they travel to Golspie Sutherland in the semi final clash at King George V Park.

Saturday will be the third attempt to get the match played after the match was postponed last week due to a waterlogged pitch.

Meanwhile four matches will be taking place in the North Caledonian League.

St Duthus are set to host Inverness Athletic at Grant Park in Tain.

Loch Ness welcome Fort William to Fortrose, Halkirk United face Orkney and Clachnacuddin A take on Bonar Bridge.

In the only NCL clash last week, Alness United dropped to the bottom as they were thrashed 6-1 by Inverness Athletic at Dalmore Park.

It was the only fixture which survived the extreme weather last weekend, but was forced to switch venue to the Alness ground as Ferry Brae in North Kessock was waterlogged.

Alness did go in front after four minutes through Shane Harkness.

Inverness Athletic managed to find an equaliser eight minutes before half time.

Brodie Watson’s cross hit the crossbar and Luke Mackay was the first to the rebound to fire home into the back of the net.

Both teams were unable to find the net again before half time as they went into the break at level at 1-1.

Inverness Athletic ran riot in the second half and took the lead four minutes after the break.

Ryan Macleod connected with a cross from Stephen Rennie before firing the ball into the back of the net to make it 2-1.

Danni Bruce then extended Athletic’s lead on the hour mark after finishing off a swift counter attack to put daylight between the two teams.

Mackay grabbed his second in the 67th minute when he was on the end of a Liam Smith cross to fire home in the box.

Harry Shewan got Athletic’s fifth with 16 minutes remaining when he was the first to react to a corner kick to score. Bruce then completed the rout in the 76th minute.
