But manager Gary Campbell is looking for a win that will send them top of the North Caledonian League.

Manager Gary Campbell is determined they end their poor run of form at King George V Park to maintain their winning start to the campaign after victory over St Duthus last week.

“Golspie has not been a happy hunting ground for us lately or hardly ever at all,” he said.

“It will be a hard game for us and it’s a match where we will need to play well.

“Both of us will be up there towards the end of the season.

“If you want to win the title, you have to be above Golspie that is for sure.

“We have shot ourselves in the foot a few times up there in the past and we will have to defend better than we have done.”

Darran Gollar and Kyle Maclean are injury doubts for the trip to Golspie.

But Campbell should have the rest of his squad available for the top of the table encounter.

Invergordon got their campaign off to a winning
start with a 3-2 victory over
St Duthus in the Ross derby at Recreation Park.

Invergordon raced into a 3-0 half-time lead.

But St Duthus reduced the deficit to one with five minutes remaining to set up a tense finish.

Campbell says he was pleased with the win but says they must improve defensively to pick up anything at Golspie.

“It was a good win, although we should have made things easier for ourselves by not conceding two goals.

“It was two bad goals to lose and it was closer in the end than it should have been.

“That has been a problem for us in the past that we haven’t managed games as well as we should have and let teams back in.

“But we will take the win.”

Elsewhere in Division One,
St Duthus will welcome Orkney to Grant Park looking for their first points of the season.

Thurso and Halkirk United will face each other at The Dammies in the Caithness derby with both teams looking to win their first points this season.
