Joe Hungbo says Ross County will be looking to use the lift of their dramatic equaliser against Rangers going into Aberdeen’s trip to Dingwall tonight.

Having gone toe-to-toe with Rangers for much of the match last Saturday and coming away with a point, County have no time to bask in their achievement with the Dons coming north so quickly.

Hungbo, though, suspects that the Staggies may still be on a high by the time kick off comes around, and so he will be looking to use that to County’s advantage.

“It’s amazing, it gives the boys a lot of confidence and a good lift,” Hungbo said.

“We’re all buzzing right now, but we’ve just got to channel that buzz into the next game and keep this run and chemistry going.

“We go into every game looking to win, and that’s what we’ll try to do on Tuesday night.

“It doesn’t matter whether it’s Rangers or Aberdeen, the gameplan stays the same – if we stay solid, we will create more chances and concede less goals to get results.”

After going behind to an early Amad Diallo goal, County rallied through Jordan White and Regan Charles-Cook – whose 10th goal of the season put him at the top of the Premiership’s scoring charts.

Rangers then worked their way back in front, though, before Matthew Wright’s stoppage time strike earned County a point that Hungbo felt they were good value for.

“We were in the lead once, but I definitely feel like against a team like Rangers, even though we were at it and you always want to win a game, we’ll definitely take the point,” the on-loan Watford man reasoned.

“It didn’t really matter how much they kept the ball, we kept to our gameplan and we got a result.

“Credit to the boys, they worked tirelessly. We had to step up from the game midweek, and that’s what we did.

“We’ve just got to make sure we keep that going through the next couple of games, because we’ve got a tough run coming up.”
