Ross County have announced the signing of Celtic midfielder Ewan Henderson on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old midfielder made six appearances for the Hoops last season, and came off the bench in their Champions League qualifier against Sarajevo.

Henderson has represented Scotland at both under-17s and under-19 level, and becomes Ross County's eight summer signing.

Co-manager Stuart Kettlewell told the Ross County website: "We are delighted to bring Ewan in.

"We believe he will add a different dimension to us in the middle of the park. Obviously coming from Celtic he has an excellent pedigree and is very highly regarded at Celtic Park.

"Hopefully, he can come in here and continue to develop and get some game time under his belt."

While Henderson has arrived in Dingwall, the Staggies have seen two players depart today.

Wingers Davis Keillor-Dunn and Daniel Armstrong have both been released on free transfers.

Keillor-Dunn was part of the youth side that won the Development League in 2017, but after initially breaking into the first team under Jim McIntyre struggled to hold on to his place, spending the second half of last season on loan at Falkirk.

Armstrong signed for County in January of this year after spending a couple of months at Raith Rovers in League One.

The 21-year-old impressed against Nairn County in pre-season, but saw his preparations scuppered by a broken jaw and leaves having made just eight first team appearances.
