ROSS-SHIRE golfers, in particular members of the Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club who have been prominent in recent North Scottish Golfers Alliance fixtures, provided the scratch winner of the fixture played over the Grantown on Spey course.

Ross-shire’s County Champion Alan Cameron, from the Fortrose club, closed with an eagle at Grantown’s final hole to add to four previous birdies.

With a three under par scratch card of 67 he lifted the first scratch voucher by two shots ahead of Moray assistant professional Andrew Rollo and amateurs John Campbell from the home club and Ron Stewart (Torvean).

In the Class 2 handicap section, Cameron’s club mate Mike Windsor returned a nett 67 off handicap 11.
