Reid claimed victory by two shots to lift the title after three rounds held at Nairn Golf Club and Nairn Dunbar Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.

He made a big statement during the first round when he recorded a round of 69.

However, he had a poor second round when he fired a 74, only giving him a one-shot lead going into the final round.

A slightly improved round of 73 in the last 18 holes was enough to give Reid victory by two shots with 216.

Tain golfer and Ross-shire county champion Sean Kennedy settled for second place. After scoring 72 in both his opening rounds, a 74 in the final round meant he finished on 218.

Martin Lawrence completed the podium as he finished in third place.

After a poor opening round of 76, he improved in the final two rounds with scores of 71 and 73 to end with a score of 220.

Ryan Copland and Jamie Wilson both finished with a score of 222.

Copland recorded rounds of 75, 77 and 70 with Wilson firing 76, 74 and 72.
