Ewan Gliniecki is targeting a Scotland call-up as the Alness youngster enters his third year of boxing.

The promising Highland Boxing Academy fighter, nicknamed ‘The Big Dog’, moved to a supremely impressive record of 15 wins and only two losses with a win over Eastern District Champion Callum Smith in his first bout of the new boxing season last weekend.

After being on the brink of representing his country last season, Gliniecki’s head coach Liam Foy says that it is the primary goal for this year.

"His record is undeniable, it’s probably one of the most successful and winning records that a boxer coming out of Inverness has had," Foy said.
