Four footballers from Dingwall Academy have been called up to the North of Scotland Schools Under-16 Girls squad.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle players Kiera Syrjanen and Teagan Syrjanen along with Ross County player Daisy Fraser have been selected for the squad with fellow Ross County player Amy Marshall called up as a reserve.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle under-16 girls won the North League Cup after defeating Ross County 4–1 at Station Park in Nairn last month.

Speaking about the squad selection, selectors said: "The standards at this year's trials was exceptionally high, showing the progress being made in girls' football.

"It was a very difficult selection process as all girls played extremely well in the final trial and as we could only choose 18 some girls narrowly missed out."
