A RECORD entry of 28 teams entered the annual Open Pairs competition on Saturday, September 19 in Cromarty on a day of fine, late summer weather.

After a long day of bowling which started at 8.30am, the final in the late afternoon was contested by two teams from Fortrose: Scott Macrae and Raymond Williamson against David Bremner playing with his nephew, Ryan Bremner.

Both teams had played well throughout the day to reach the final against some of the best bowlers in the area.

Scott and Raymond took an early lead in the final match and held their lead to finish as worthy 2015 winners of the Cromarty Pairs cup.
