Fortrose and Rosemarkie golfer is Scottish North District champion

Fortrose and Rosemarkie golfer Lewis Reid was crowned Scottish North District Champion.

He took the title by two shots at Inverness Golf Club on Sunday with a total score of 139.

He recorded rounds of 69 and 70 to be crowned champion.

He was two shots ahead of John Forbes of Muir of Ord who claimed second place.

Nairn Golf Club took the top three places in the youth competition with Calum Daun lifting the title by nine shots with a score of 143.

Darren Hexley from Muir of Ord claimed the handicap section with rounds of 70 and 73 to claim a nett score of 143.
