Fortrose Academy pupil called up to Scotland squad for major athletics event

Ross County Athletics Club athlete Andrew Baird has been called up to the Scotland squad for the Celtic Nations Cross Country next month.

The Fortrose Academy pupil has been called up to represent Scotland at the championships which will take place in Renfrew on Saturday, January 13.

He is one of 24 athletes in the squad to compete at the event which also incorporates the British Cross Challenge and Inter-District Cross Country.

Scotland will compete for Celtic Nations XC medals that day at Renfrew against visiting teams from Ireland and Northern Ireland.
