The Daily Express report that the 25-year-old is a target for a number of clubs, including the Ibrox outfit and English Premiership club Norwich City.

Stewart has been in impressive form this season, scoring 22 goals in 45 games for Sunderland in League One.

He was also called up to the Scotland squad for the friendly against Austria last month, but did not play.

Stewart signed for Ross County from St Mirren in 2018 and stayed for two and a half seasons before joining Sunderland in January last year for an undisclosed fee.
