INVERGORDON hammered Halkirk United 8-0 to stay top of the North Caledonian League.

However in a closely contested first half, Invergordon were only 2-0 up at the break through goals from Kyle Maclean and Darran Gollar.

Gollar made it 3-0 immediately at the start of the second half which also kicked off a goal rush.

Scott Houston scored a hat trick with Ken Morrison and Ian Penwright also finding the net.
