Ross County have confirmed that defender Coll Donaldson has left the club to sign for Dunfermline Athletic on loan.

The 26-year-old centre back has struggled for game time at the Global Energy Stadium, with the Staggies allowing him to leave in order gain the minutes he requires.

He links up with former County boss John Hughes, who he was a regular part of the first team squad under in the second half of last season.

Donaldson made 31 starts for County last season, but was restricted to just four appearances under Malky Mackay before an injury took him out of contention. He had been an unused substitute last month after returning to fitness, but never made it on to the pitch.
