Dingwall golden girl cadet Lexy makes a splash at national swim meet

Dingwall cadet Lexy Wallace will represent Scotland at a British swimming meet after her triumph last weekend.

Cadet Lance Corporal Lexy Wallace (16) from the Dingwall detachment of the 1st Battalion the Highlanders took part in the Army Cadets Scotland Swimming Competition held at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow.

Lexy joined twenty other cadets in the 1st Highlanders team which returned home with a total of 16 individual medals and one trophy.

Two of those were won by Lexy who came first in the senior girls breaststroke and in the senior girls relay, with her team finishing first overall.

Lexy has now been chosen to represent Scotland at the Army Cadets National Swimming Competition next month in Aldershot.

Lexy said: “It was such a good experience participating in the swimming, considering everyone was competing to the best of their ability.”
