The 15 year-old, who also won the River Ness 5k in Inverness last October, was pleased to go under 18 minutes.

She said: “I’m very pleased as my time is about one minute faster than I ran in the River Ness 5k, so I am really pleased.

"It was a nice way to end the cross country season.

"Now I’m looking forward to representing Scotland for the first time in the schools international in Wales.”
