Ross County have confirmed Greg Strong has been appointed as the club's new head of recruitment.

The former Motherwell, Livingston and Dundee defender has arrived at Dingwall after being in similar roles in England with current Ross County manager Derek Adams at Plymouth Argyle and Morecambe.

During his playing career, Strong (48) played at Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and Hull City.

Commenting on the appointment, Adams said: “I am delighted Greg Strong will be joining as our Head of Recruitment. He has worked with me before at Plymouth Argyle and Morecambe where he has understood my footballing philosophy and the type of player that is required to be recruited for this to be a success. Greg is vastly experienced and has excellent contacts within the game.”
