ROSS County's build-up to the club's SPL bow was given a boost with a solid pre-season victory over Coventry City.

A goal from Steven Craig five minutes from time was the difference between the teams when they met at Grant Street Park in Inverness on Wednesday night.

The substitute's curler found the inside of the far post as the Dingwall team fielded a line-up radically different to that which drew the night before with Nairn County.

Meanwhile with just over two weeks until their first ever Scottish Premier League game, Ross County are getting set for a scramble for tickets.

Tickets for both the opening day fixture against Motherwell and their match against Celtic a fortnight later will go on sale simultaneously.

As a thank you for their support over the summer, season ticket holders will get a chance to snap up extra tickets for friends or family wishing to attend the historic matches.

Season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets via the online shop at www.rosscountyfootballclub.co.uk for 24 hours from 5pm on Friday (July 20) until 5pm on Saturday.

And then on Sunday, the ground will be open from 1pm until 6pm for season ticket holders to purchase tickets in person.

From 9am on Monday (July 23) tickets will go on open sale over the telephone, online or in person at the stadium.

The club will continue to sell season tickets "until at least Friday the July 27", a spokesman confirmed.
