This follows the Scottish Open Veteran title he won at the same venue – the National Shooting Centre of Scotland near Falkirk – in June this year.

Peter was also a member of the winning five-man Scottish veteran team at the Home International match, beating teams from England, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland.

He also took the two-day High Gun award for Scotland.

Other Ross-shire shooters who represented Scotland at the same event were Marcas Robertson from Scotsburn, near Tain, who gained his first international cap, and won the award for the highest scoring new cap in the Scotland team.

Also David Alford from Balblair in the Black Isle who came a very credible 5th equal in the British Open out of a total entry of 370 competitors.

All three shooters are members of Highland Deephaven Clay Pigeon Club, which runs regular competitions and practice days at the industrial site on the shore near Evanton, where new members are always welcome.
