ROSS County are waiting to hear the extent of Josh Reid’s injury as he was taken off injured in the 1-0 defeat at Kilmarnock.

The defender was taken off injured just before half time at Rugby Park in a frustrating afternoon for the Staggies.

Killie took all three points when Kyle Vassell scored the winner in the 63rd minute.

Speaking after the game, manager Don Cowie said they are awaiting to hear the extent of Reid’s injury.

Cowie said: “He felt his hamstring, I don’t know the extent, but it is disappointing as he done really well and been consistent.

“But I thought George Harmon came on and did well.”

Cowie was disappointed with the defeat which has left them in 11th place and four points off St Johnstone.

He said: “I am disappointed not to get anything out of the game. As always the boys put a lot of effort in. I thought that both teams struggled with quality in terms of the conditions we both faced. To come away with nothing is real frustration.

“I spoke about it before, it is something we have to improve on and get better at the concentration levels and the worst case scenario is you go away with a 0-0 draw.

“We managed to concede a goal that gives them the impetus to go and win the game.”
