Ross County have continued to add to their academy recruitment team by enlisting former players as scouts across Scotland.

Former Highland League striker John McLeod was appointed head of academy recruitment earlier in the week, and his team has been bolstered with seven regional scouts including two names that will be extremely familiar to Staggies fans.

Kenny Gilbert has rejoined the club as the lead area scout for Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire, while Dave Mackay will fill a similar role across Ross-shire.

Both men rank among the highest appearance makers for County with 183 and 177 matches respectively and helped the club rise through the lower tiers of the SPFL.

Elsewhere, Gary Souter will cover the Moray area, Gordon Clark fills the role in Caithness and Sutherland while more locally current academy volunteers Lewis MacLean and Graeme Sutherland will join David Ross.
