The Grenada international is the Staggies’ top scorer this season, with his strike against Dundee United on Wednesday night his ninth of the campaign.

However, his contract expires at the end of the season and he has been touted for possible moves to Aberdeen and Hibernian in the aftermath of Martin Boyle’s departure.

For the time being, the 24-year-old is happy in Dingwall, and says while there have been discussions over extending his deal he is just trying to concentrate on his football.

“I’m at Ross County and I’m going to give my all to Ross County,” he stressed.

“They have given me a platform and I’m very grateful for that.

“As long as I’m here at Ross County, I’m giving it my all. I’m happy to be here, I’m just ready to keep going.

“To be fair the gaffer and the club are just letting me play my football.

“They’re not fussed about that at the moment, they’re just letting me concentrate, and I’m not trying to look outside of here, because I’m here.”

Next on the agenda for the winger at County is the visit of defending Premiership champions Rangers tomorrow.

With four goals against the Ibrox outfit already this season, Charles-Cook feels the Staggies are more than capable of surprising the Glasgow giants.

“They’re top of the league, but we have no fear of Rangers, so we’ll be ready to face them,” he reasoned.

“We’ve come so close in the past against Celtic, we’ve scored against Rangers twice this season already.

“I felt like we could have got a point out of Hearts before the winter break, so I think we’re due one.

“It’s just so annoying about Dundee United, because we shouldn’t be dropping points there at all. We have to tighten things up at the back – we’re going to have to be compact at times – but hopefully we learn from Tannadice and be more clinical.”
