Kelly sees St Mirren return as a chance to win three points for Ross County in the Premiership

Ross County defender Sean Kelly says Saturday’s trip to St Mirren is a good opportunity to put three points on the board and end the side’s winless streak.

The Staggies have not tasted victory since a 2-1 win away at Motherwell in September, drawing four and losing three since then.

But the international break has given County a chance to regroup, and with the squad nearly back at full fitness Kelly is keen to spark a return to form in Paisley this weekend.

“I think you’ve got to look at it as an opportunity, the same way they will be looking at it as a chance to get three points,” he insisted.

“They’re sitting at the bottom of the league right now, and we would like to put a bigger gap between them and us.

“We realise how big of a game it is coming off an international break. It gave players who are injured extra time to get back, everybody is refreshed so they might have an enthusiasm and a belief, and obviously we’ll be the same.”
