The scheduled start dates for the 2021/22 SPFL season have been announced.

Clubs are set to return to competitive action in July, with the League Cup group stage returning to it's usual place at the beginning of the campaign after moving to October and November for 2020/21.

The opening group matches will be played on the weekend of Saturday, July 10, before concluding on the weekend of Saturday, July 24.

All four SPFL divisions will then return the next Saturday on July 31.

A winter break will return to the calendar for the Premiership, with no top flight games scheduled between Monday, January 3 and Friday, January 21.

League fixtures will be published in June, while the schedule for next season's Challenge Cup will be confirmed in due course.
