Caberfeidh came out the wrong side of a seven-goal thriller against Newtonmore in a 5–2 loss.

Connor Jones’ strike for the visitors was the only thing separating the sides by the interval at Castle Leod before the game burst into life after the restart.

Kevin Bartlett briefly drew Cabers level in the 52nd minute, but Jones doubled his personal tally less than two minutes later.

Craig Morrison then scored a second equaliser for the hosts just after the hour mark, but again parity only lasted a matter of minutes as Craig Macissac restored Newtonmore’s lead.

This time, the Badenoch giants never looked back, with Iain Robinson putting daylight between the sides and Macissac wrapping up the points five minutes from time.

Kinlochshiel’s senior team were idle, but their North Division One side sealed a 4–0 victory away at Fort William thanks to a double from Duncan MacMillan and strikes from Lewis MacVicar and Rory Slaughter.

It was not so positive for Lochcarron, who lost 3–1 away at Glenurquhart.

David MacLennan scored a double for the hosts, backed up by Lewis MacLennan’s goal, while Kenny Cushnie scored what turned out to be a consolation for Lochcarron.

This weekend, Kinlochshiel once again have a free week in the Premiership, but Caberfeidh are due to go on the road.

They will make the trip to Fort William, who lost 3–0 to Lovat last time out.

It could prove to be an important match as the Cabers attempt to move clear of a relegation battle, with Fort William currently sitting second bottom, but only one point behind the Strathpeffer side.

A full card of North Division One fixtures includes Lochcarron hosting Kinlochshiel, who are still in the title picture.

Kinlochshiel could go top of the table with a win this weekend, as leaders Inverness are the odd side out in the 11-team division.
