The men’s team are at home against Caithness tomorrow afternoon, but even before then the activities at the Naval Grounds begin in earnest.

From 6pm tonight, Ross Sutherland will be making the most of their new clubhouse with burgers and beers, as people gather to watch the opening match of the Rugby World Cup.

Then, before the match against Caithness kicks off tomorrow, the Stags will host a lunch for club members, former players, captains and presidents.

Again, World Cup matches will be shown on the screen in the clubhouse throughout the day while Ross Sutherland go in search of a winning start to the campaign.

In a new-look Caledonia North two, which has been split into a Grampian Conference and a Highlands and Islands Conference, it is imperative that the Stags start well in order to give themselves the best possible platform for success on the pitch.

Off the pitch, though, Ross Sutherland will hope to continue building just as strong of a platform as they host a community open day on Sunday.

This will see the club open its doors to non-members, who will be treated to fun rugby games, a bouncy castle and teas, coffees and home baking.

The Naval Grounds will be open from noon, and again the World Cup matches taking place throughout the day will be shown on the television screens at the club as the Stags look to improve engagement with their local community with their new facilities.
