Two of the league’s heavyweights Avoch and Loch Ness will clash in the first semi final, with the winners set to face either Ardersier or Black Rock Rovers who meet in the other last four encounter.

Both Avoch and Loch Ness will go into tomorrow night’s clash after recording massive victories in the Inverness and District Premiership.

Avoch thrashed IRN Security 7–1 at Coronation Park.

Ian Penwright scored a hat trick with Colin Mason scoring twice along with Kyle Maclean and Rhys Shewan also finding the net in a comfortable victory.

Manager Martyn MacAllister says his team are going into the clash in good form and is expecting another tough encounter with Loch Ness.

“It is always a feisty encounter with Loch Ness and we are expecting no different against them on Friday night.

“I expect both teams to go full at it, as it is a chance to win silverware this season.

“We are also meeting in the league next week as we look to stay in contention for the title.

“We are missing a few players for the clash, so we are going to approach both games in the same way.”

Loch Ness go into tonight’s clash on the back of thrashing Tomatin 14–2.

The win kept Loch Ness in second place on goal difference, eight goals better off than Avoch with both teams on 28 points and are one point behind leaders Maryburgh.

Ardersier and Black Rock Rovers both had a free week in the lead up to Friday’s semi final’s clash at Bught Park.

Evanton outfit Black Rock Rovers were in title contention until the last few weeks and are now in fourth place with this being their last chance of silverware.

Ardersier are safe from relegation in sixth place with nine points.
