Ben, younger brother of Harry Paton, joins County after leaving Blackburn Rovers during the summer.

Having taken up a scholarship with Blackburn Rovers, he progressed through the youth ranks at Ewood Park at under-18 and under-23 level. He has received international call ups for Canada at U17 and U20 levels.

Mackay said, “Ben has been training with us in recent weeks and his work ethic and professionalism shine through.

He is young, enthusiastic and it is clear to see he has an English Premier League Academy upbringing. We are looking forward to working with him and helping to develop his potential.”
