Botswanan boxers inspired by Ali

Fortrose fighter Ali Macleod is proving to be a knockout with students at a school in Botswana after he set up its very own boxing club.

The Inverness City Boxing Club athlete is working in Africa as a volunteer for 12 months with charity Project Trust at a school for pupils who have got into trouble with the law or been thrown out of other schools.

The 19-year-old is over 6500 miles away from training at his usual gym in Merkinch.

And as well as teaching art and maths, he is still using his boxing skills which he says is having a positive effect on kids at the school.
