Mellis makes a welcome return for Ross Sutherland head coach Mann

Ross Sutherland head coach John Mann is delighted to be welcoming Ross Mellis back to the club after eight months out of the country.

Mellis has spent most of 2019 over in Australia, but returned to training in Invergordon last week and is awaiting confirmation that his registration has gone through.

The timing of that is out of the Stags’ hands, but Mann is looking forward to being re-united with his old teammate on the pitch.

“He just knows the way to the try line,” Mann explained.

“Me and Ross grew up playing together, we started playing at seven years old, and when he comes back we will be the old heads in the back line.

“It gives me another person to set around the young pups.”
